High-Efficiency L-band T/R Module: Development Results
نویسندگان
چکیده
Future interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) systems require electronically scanned phased-array antennas, where the transmit/receive (T/R) module is a key component. The T/R module efficiency is a critical figure of merit and has direct implications on the power dissipation and power generation requirements of the system. Significant improvements in the efficiency of the T/R module will make SAR missions more feasible and affordable. The results of two high-efficiency T/R modules are presented, each based on different power amplifier technologies. One module uses a 30W GaAs Class-A/B power amplifier and the second module uses a 70W LD-MOS Class-E/F power amplifier, where both modules use a common low power section. Each module operates over an 80MHz bandwidth at L-band (1.2GHz) with an overall module efficiency greater than 58%. We will present the results of these two T/R modules that have been designed, built and tested.

High-Efficiency L-band Transmitmeceive Module for Synthetic Aperture Radar
Space-based radar places significant demands on the spacecraft resources (mass, power, data rate) and is therefore very expensive to implement. These systems typically require active phased-array antennas with hundreds or thousands of Transmit/Receive (TIR) modules distributed on the array. Highefficiency is a vitally important figure of merit for the radar T/R module because it reduces the pow...

متن کاملRobust GaN MMIC Chipset for T/R Module Front-End Integration
In this contribution, a set of robust GaN MMIC T/R switches and low-noise amplifiers, all based on the same GaN process, is presented. The target operating bandwidths are the X-band and the 2-18 GHz bandwidth. Several robustness tests on the fabricated MMICs demonstrate state-ofthe-art survivability to CW input power levels. The development of high-power amplifiers, robust low-noise amplifiers ...

A finitely generated $R$-module is said to be a module of type ($F_r$) if its $(r-1)$-th Fitting ideal is the zero ideal and its $r$-th Fitting ideal is a regular ideal. Let $R$ be a commutative ring and $N$ be a submodule of $R^n$ which is generated by columns of a matrix $A=(a_{ij})$ with $a_{ij}in R$ for all $1leq ileq n$, $jin Lambda$, where $Lambda $ is a (possibly infinite) index set. ...
متن کاملHighly Compact Embedded Duplexer Implementation for WiMAX Dual-band Front-end Module with Organic Package Substrate
In this paper, low cost and high performance duplexers are investigated for WiMAX front-end module with multi-layered organic package substrate. This dual band FEM includes a 2.5GHz power amplifier die with switch and has tiny PKG form factor. In addition to module size limitation, FEM requires higher gain and stringent attenuation characteristics specification. The embedded BPFs and duplexer w...
